1) Affirmative, positive, only in a more certain and stressing manner.

2) A decent song by Beck on his album Guero

Person 1: Do you want fries with that?
Person 2: Yes.
Person 1: Are you sure?

1. Inf. a severe scolding.   The boss just gave me hell about it. I'm really going to give Tom hell when he gets home.

2. Inf. trouble; pain.   My arthritis is giving me hell in this weather. This problem is giving us hell at the office.

It is apparent that the concept of Hell is maintained in our culture daily. The continued and constant use of the word “hell” in our private and public discourse is in itself a kind of validation of Hell’s existence. If  indeed Hell does not exist, then why is it that we continue to use the word “hell” to give gravity to our words?  And besides, it seems to me that HELL, by anybody’s definition, is the ultimate expression of Political Incorrectness! Who does God think that He is, anyway!

"Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear HIM who is able to destroy both soul and body in HELL.” Jesus of Nazareth
